About the Ruck Challenge

The Ruck Challenge (TRC) 7th Annual competition seeks to develop teamwork and esprit de corps among the veterans engaged in rehabilitative programs in our community by challenging other agencies to compete in an event of endurance, strength, and strategy. By competing, you recognize the sacrifice veterans made to serve our country and take an active role to heal the invisible wounds of service our veterans have suffered.

The Ruck Challenge 2023 5K 10K gives you the opportunity to show appreciation and support for our Veterans. The event is designed to heighten awareness within our community for our local military Veterans’ invisible wounds of war caused during their service. Funds raised will be used to support Veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, substance abuse, sexual trauma.
Carrying a ruck is optional let us know, with ruck or without ruck.
Can’t participate in The Ruck Challenge walking or running. Please consider donating.
Event Day Itinerary
- 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM: Registration, ruck weigh, refreshments
- 7:45 AM – 8:00 AM: Opening Ceremony
- Formation
- Prayer
- Office Party (Acknowledgement)
- 8:00 AM: 5K Run/Walk
- 8:10 AM: 5K Ruck Challenge
- 8:45 AM: 10K Run/Walk
- 8:55 AM: 10K Ruck Challenge
- 10:00 AM: BBQ Picnic
- 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Finish 10K Ruck March
- 11:45 AM – 12:00 PM: Award Ceremony
